Publish an Observation

Publish an Observation
The final step in completing an observation is to “Publish” the record. Publishing the observation is the last step in the process, and once done, the observation is considered complete.

OWL Website

After finishing an observation, click the green Publish Record button. Please note that once an observation is published, it cannot be edited or changed. Clicking the Publish Record button automatically sends a copy of the observation report to the participant (teacher).

For some OWL forms, including those used by Intervention, observations should be published as soon as scoring is set on the observation, and once a strength and opportunity have been identified. If the observation is not ready to be published, it can remain in the draft state. Continue to edit and revise the draft until it is completed, at which point it should be published via the step above.
